Impact and Efficiency of Higher Education in Northeast Ohio – New report shows who benefits most from access to college experience

Public Insight, whose software platform analyzes data about people, places, and providers released a major platform update that includes a significant overhaul of its condition based filtering engine (Filter Builder). The new capabilities allow users to apply metric-based conditions to dynamically filter the universe of public entities.

Public Insight has just added Student Charges from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) to the web platform. This data set was loaded for national higher education entities and will include a new “Student Charges” category, as well as new topics and series for higher education.

Public Insight is pleased to announce the release of Scout, its advanced visualization application. Public Insight Scout gives subscribers the ability to dynamically explore public data using next generation touch-screen technologies and visualizations. Scout is initially available on Apple iPad® with browser support to be available shortly thereafter.

The August 2016 Public Insight release provides extensive improvements in search capabilities, data source audit trails, and multi-level database extracts. The text searching capability allows you to type any search term and Public Insight will return a list of data sources and path to the metrics containing the search term….

This new data update will include information for higher education entities on fall enrollment related to entering class sizes, retention rates (full-time and part-time students), and student-to-faculty ratios.
