What are Challenges with Job Market Data?

  • No Deduping – some job postings are repeated across 10+ job boards
  • Stale and Undated Postings – no reliable posting date, or take down signal, and many jobs are posted for more than a year
  • Data is Not Normalized or Enriched – titles, companies and geos are inconsistently represented
  • No Lineage or History for Comparison – yesterday’s data is gone tomorrow
  • Manually uploaded data files don’t automatically refresh with new data
  • No audit trail on how the data was filtered, aged, mapped or transparency into original sources
  • Public AI agents have low data file upload size limits (e.g., 30-50 MB), which can limit analysis of large job market data sets. Additionally, AI agents cannot generate sophisticated calculations (e.g., supply/demand ratios) based on limited scraped Web data

How is Public Insight Data Better?

There are many sources for job market data, but with millions of job postings and titles, data can be very messy. We enrich, normalize and clean data to ensure the highest quality, here are our steps:

  • Curate job market data from the best sources and are continually evaluating new options and technical methods – then the hard work really starts.
  • Dedupe, clean, map (titles, occupations, companies and geo locations), and enrich from multiple sources to provide our customers with very detailed, current and comprehensive data to make better decisions.
  • Update this data every week/month and offer flexible ways for customers to receive this enriched data.
  • Provide transparency in our sourcing and mapping and you can access the link to the original job posting, review or workforce profile.
  • Offer flexible data delivery options and enable customers to buy customized data sets based on what they need now and can adjust in the future.
